Social Enterprise Business Consultants
(Freelance positions- recruitment ongoing)
Social Enterprise Business Consultant
Length: initial 3-month period with a view to full-time
Salary: £28-35k (depending on experience)
Base: Central London office and some home working. Requirement for some travel within the UK.
Experience and skills
- Graduate with at least 4 years experience in a specialist direct client consultancy role. You will have managed client projects and possess a wide range of project management and consultancy tools.
- You will have either entrepreneurial experience running your own business or have worked within one of the UK’s recognised management consultancy firms.
You will have had experience in the following areas: - Designing financial forecasts
- Writing business plans and developing investment strategies
- Developing investment memorandums
- Mergers & Acquisitions
- Working with a charity or another 3rd sector organisation
- Selling consultancy products
- Facilitation of group discussions and workshops
Above all you will excel at managing and developing client relationships.

Role
- We deliver direct consultancy to all types of charities and social enterprises. You will take pre-sales meetings supporting the Director of Consultancy negotiate engagements.
- You will work directly with the clients helping them further develop their enterprises. The products include, feasibility studies, strategic reviews, financial planning, business planning, investment raising, structural reviews.
- We run a number of programmes including Spark, a national investment competition aimed at combating the problems of homelessness through social enterprise. You will work with the finalists developing the business plans and getting them investment ready for a pitch event.
- We develop programmes directly with corporate partners. You will assist and facilitate a team from the corporate and provide a social enterprise perspective.
